  I love this place and have been going here for years. There are several doctors here who are all caring and amazing. They also have a great sliding scale fee chart for those without insurance.

  This place is terrible. I went in this summer for my first ever visit. The ladies behind reception were too occupied with themselves to acknowledge me verbally. After they finished conversing about their children's attitudes, I was then asked if I could be helped. I was there for my meet my doctor appointment. After waiting for at least 30 minutes in the waiting room (and mind you I was the only patient in the waiting room), I was taken back to a patient room. After about 15 more minutes, a nurse came in asking me the normal basic questions. When I mentioned my gynecologist, she went on to tell me I should do my gynecological care in their office instead of going where I was already established (rude!). Then she did vitals and said the doctor would be in soon. About 45 minutes later, the doctor finally came in, without any means of taking notes and no chart indicating to her who I was. She said something about wanting to know why I was there, and I said I was here for my meet my doctor appointment. I have a complicated history, so I wrote myself a note so I wouldn't forget to tell my doctor anything. She interrupted me before I even started telling her anything saying "now most people come in here with a list but I want to know what you want to focus on, so pick what is most important to you from your list"..... Seriously?! I thought the point of this appointment was for you to learn about me so when I need care, you can make a proper diagnosis based on my history. Right? Anyhow, I was in there only a few moments before a knock at the door and the nurse dragged her away from me. She returns about 20 minutes later, still without a means for notes, apologizing because she had a "problem patient". She then tells me I need to choose what I want to talk about today. When I choose my possible seizures, she says ok, we will send you to a neurologist. Then the power goes out. In a panic she rushes me to a room near the back of the office, one facing windows, so there is light. She then continues to talk about my private health issues in a room with an open door, with other patients walking by, and patients were also in neighboring rooms, doors obviously open. After this change of scenery, I hurriedly ended the appointment, and she tells me to call Monday when they have power again to reschedule a follow up. I call an entire week later checking on my referral.... nothing. I call another week later.... nothing. Then I start to call twice a week.... nothing. After 2 months of waiting for a referral, I fired my doctor (Dr Chayla Chasten). Not only for her lack of ability to show she has a genuine interest in her patients and their well being, but also for her inability to follow HIPPA rules in an uncommon situation as well as the rude staff at the front desk. This place is only getting a one star because I can't give it zero!
